Mazen Murad

After studying Music Production at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School, Mazen Murad began his professional career in 1991 at various studios around Sydney, Australia.

Mazen’s recent clients include: Muse, Mika, Garbage, Take That, Robbie Williams, Earth Wind and Fire, Malcolm McLaren, Curtis Mayfield, The Who, Dmitri Shostakovich, DJ Shadow, The Jazz Icons series of DVDs, Iron Maiden, Melanie C and The Temptations.
International artists include: Ive Mendes, Die Toten Hosen, Wise Guys, Myrto, and Sara Tavares…

After 3 years he secured a highly sought after position as an in-house Engineer at the prestigious EMI Studios 301. Being Australia’s premier studio facility, it gave Mazen the opportunity to work with Australia’s most celebrated artists and producers, as well as many from abroad.

In 1996, an incredibly rare opening for a position in the EMI Studios 301 Mastering department became available, for which Mazen was eagerly sought after. His many years of recording and mixing experience became a priceless asset to his work practice as a mastering engineer.

Mazen’s reputation for initiative and professional work ethic made him the consummate choice in 2001 to head a newly established Mastering facility at Studios 301 Cologne, Germany. This was soon to become one of the leading mastering houses in both Germany and many other European territories.

In 2004 Mazen was approached by the newly re-opened Whitfield Street Studios and moved to central London where he has since further established his career. His reputation for combining technology and creativity particularly in the areas of 5.1 Mastering for DVD-V, DVD-A and Super Audio CD makes him highly sought after by many of Europe’s most prestigious clients.

In 2005 Mazen was invited to join the Mastering team at The Metropolis Group, the UK’s leading Mastering facility.
