What is an MD5 Checksum?
It is a binary file check that creates a 32 digit ‘checksum’. This is a value that any recipient of the DDP Image File can recreate or compare with to verify that the data has not been corrupted in any way.
Free software to check the MD5 checksum can be downloaded from the sites below. Just install and then double-click on the file ‘image.md5’ and it will check it for you or follow the software instructions for more detailed operations.
