What is Mastering?
Mastering is the last stage of the creative process and is the last point of artistic input to make your music sound as good as possible.
In one sense it is the point where the music is given it’s final tweak to embellish it, and produce the optimum result. In another sense, it is where repairs and remedies are effected in order to rectify minor problems or defects that had occurred in the recording process.
When mastering an album, the aim is to make all the tracks sound like they are one consistent project, not individual projects, whilst still bringing out the best in the music.
